Question DetailsAsked on 7/21/2014

Who gave you the authority to charge my credit card account for what must be an extension/renewal of my membership

I returned from vacation only to be surprised at a July 7 charge from Angie's list. As it was close to renewal time I assume it was for that. However, I do not remember authorizing such a renewal....I found it surprising, distasteful for a business of your status and even unethical. I would think you would give your customers the option of renewing, not take it for granted we wanted to and just go ahead and charge my card.. If I signed something stating a desire to renew then I wish to have proof of that. Otherwise I believe it best to cancel my subscription and be reimbursed for the cost of the remaining membership time. You can just credit the account to which you charged the $26.11 Thank you. C.
