Why am I losing water in my toliet bowl when I use a brush, I can hear the water draining out

When I am using a toliet brush to clean my toilet and I stick the head of the brush down into the hole to clean it I start losing water out of the bowl

Hello,


It is like using a plunger, it is just displacing the water and pushing it out of the bowl. As long as there is no movement in the bowl when not being used there should be no running water from the tank to the bowl. If you see movement or hear the fill valve making noise when no one has used it call a plumber to replace the parts in the tank.
