Why water is running continuously from the drain line in my laundry room?

I have a filtration system and softener in the garage. About a month ago the filtration system burst and I had a flood. Head has been replaced. After that I have water running continuously from the drain line in the laundry room. One plumber said is from the softener now; another says it's "normal" because pipes are up in the roof now. This water was not running before. I don't know what to do.

Sounds like these are two different systems - you need to figure out which drain line it is coming from to track which system is the problem. Sounds like one of the systems might be stuck in backflush mode (if your filtration system has a backflush cycle) - check the modules - backflush timer might have to be reset after the repair, or the bypass valve might be partly open.

If it is backflushing you should be able to hear the water flow pretty loudly at the backflush valve - much louder than just in adjacent water lines.

You might also be able to just (assuming your system has such, most do) turn the bypass valves (one at each end of system usually) to bypass the systems one at a time to see which stops the draining (after time for it to drain out of the drain line).

Otherwise, a Water Treatment technician or a plumber who does water treatment system repairs would be your Search the List category to find a vendor for this.
