Rheem/Ruud condensing units are reliable units though I favor Carrier over any other brand. I personally am not a fan of their low profile rectangular box (don't know which unit in particular you are discussing though) as the metal sides have louvers stamped in them that make a quick visual inspection of the coil a bit difficult. In essence, out of sight and out of mind can create a situation where the coil becomes plugged because you never noticed it building up with grass clippings, cottonwood, etc. Also, since the louvers are closer to the ground, in my opinion, it creates a situation where grass clippings are more prone to be pulled into the coil covering the bottom rows.
