I have enjoyed Net 10 over the years. They cost is truely just 10 cents a minute. "Net 10" appears to be a brand under "Trac Fone". Walmarts "Straight Talk" is also a "Trac Fone" associated brand. I avoid ATT and Verizon just because they are "the problem" [with contract phones]. If you use more than a few hundred minutes in a month you will need the 1000/month or "unlimited" plans that will cost from 25 to 40 dollars a month for a simple (non smart) type phone. Straight talk offers a sim card (under $20) you can use in your iPhone. The monthly cost for "unlimited" text, voice and data for your iPhone is $45 per month. You will likely pay your state and local sales tax on all payments to these companies. The great thing is there are no added fees and the "so called taxes" imposed by the contract carrier bills.

One added benefit of using these Non-ATT, Non-Verizon and Non-Sprint service providers is that you may actually have more signal coverage. The Track Fone brands may use all available cell towers. This has been my experience. You would do well asking the local retailers in your use area for their suggestions. Maybe ask what company do they sell the most repeat monthly plans.
