Is that, like, a retaining wall in your back yard or perhaps one of the walls of your house?

Thanks for responding. I'm talking about the brick walls of my home; the entire length 30x4 feet. I was told the bricks would be removed, cleaned and relayed again. Initially it sounded like an impossible task, but after talking to two contractors today, it makes a little sense. The tough job now is deciding which contractor to select. Thanks again.

Well, shucks, maybe its not a load bearing wall but rather a brick veneer over wood frame construction. In that case I'm sure its not a big deal. If it is load bearing it ought to be shored up like yesterday.

Haggie. If it is a load bearing wall consider carbon fiber technology. Carbon fiber is realtively inexpensive and is stronger than steel. They also make several types of braces, anchor plates and carbon fiber specialty repair products. I would suggest going to as they are the largest structural national association of contractors and manufacters in the United States. Nobody could properly answer this question without a careful inspection.
