Since it apparently shorted hard to say - could have burned out wiring at a solenoid, which might be what you hear clicking. Another possibility is it fried the wiring or sensor on a rollout or overtemp sensor so it thinks it is detecting a flame rollout or overtemp situation so is refusing to fire and is keeping the blower going to cool it down because ti thinks it is still hot. May have also fried more wires in the control box.

Either way, unless the wires were burned because they drooped into the burner area, I would say fomr a safety dstandpoint you DEFINITELY need a complete going over by a furance technician - Heating and A/C would be your Search the List category. And I would not use it until it is checked - or at a minimum, not while not in the house and not while asleep.
