can I seal grout in ceramic floor tile with lacquer or polyurethane

If you want it to turn yellow or orange pretty quick, yes. Otherwise, no - use the correct thing - a colored latex or silicone grout sealer if you want a colored finish, or clear liquid silicone sealer for clear finish. Third alternative is to regrout with a polymerized actuylic grout, which acts as its own sealer for some time, though is still more dirt-resistant if silicone sealed.

Ok - looking back at this response as possible reference to another question - where did "actuylic" come from ? Obviously, should have come out as "acrylic". Oh - I see - hands were one space too far to the let on the keyboard. Sorry.
