can a steep driveway be levelled out

Our driveway is quite steep and now that we are older difficult to walk down it or walk up it. Can a contractor such as a concrete person level out or does this cost an arm and a leg?

The problem is, your bottom end and top end have to be at the street and the garage or parking pad - so the only way to "flatten" it is to change the routing, so it curves up to your house on a longer path - but you are talking at least a coule thousand, possibly much more depending on length and slope and such.

A LOT cheaper than changing driveway alignment is to just put in a curving or switch-back paver or gravel or concrete path that is at the slope you want. If you are in snow/ice country, I would recommend a crushed gravel path with paver edges to control the gravel - does not get so slick.
