check bathroom floow for water damage and mould

Second floor bathrom toilet clogged and overflowed. The water containing fecal material went into the air duct on the bathroom floor. The fan vent in the ceiling of the bathroom below also leaked dirty water. I had the ducts cleaned twice but smell persists. I am now worried about water damage and mould in the bathrrom floor

The floor should have been opened up (usually from underside through drywall ceiling) and cleaned out and treated to prevent mold.

Unless duct cleaning was wet cleaning would not have solved that area - may require partial disassembly (opening up a place or two) to be able to reach in with brushes and swabs to clean the ducts.

The subfloor - probsably will have to remove underlying ceiling clean/treat the wood subfloor, then redo ceiling.

Water and Smoke Damge is probably your best vendor category for this.
