complaint about Pelican water softness PLEASE, RUN AWAY from this system, it's very expensive and doesn't work!

Pelican saltless system gave me greasy scums, I switched to salt system, just as bad. Run away from them. They are
very expensive and you have to hire a plumber to install the unit. Paid over $2,000. and when I switched to salt base,
it is almost as bad as the saltless. I had to pay again to change to the salt unit. So sorry I picked Pelican. I have friends
that are using the Culligan Unit and loves them. TAKE MY WORD FOR IT, RUN AWAY FROM the big money makers
probably sitting back in their blue suits scamming peoples and know their system is HORRIFIC.

You are not the only person to have this complaint as long as they have been around - one reason many pros will not install those systems. Not that the systems are inherently terrible - just that they do not do the job, especially for whole-house configurations. I have heard of some people happy with them installed as a point-of-use system just for drinking water for instance.

I agree that what they charge is comparable to a full-size whole-house water softening system - conventional water softeners like Culligan and others, with added tanks for specific water quality issues which normal salt ion systems cannot solve, as needed for your particular water chemistry is what I recommnend.

Since you are commenting on a product rather than a specific contractor or vendor and as far as I know Pelicna is a manufacturer, not an installer, so I don't think you can do an AL review on this - but at least this comment will show up in google searches by other people, and by AL users who search by Pelican.
