Question DetailsAsked on 6/15/2015

contractors are recommending Amana to replace my Trane. Has anyone had any issues with an Amana Heat Pump?

I am replacing a 2 ton Trane Heat Pump. All but one company recommends Amana Heat Pump. The reviews I've read for the Amana Heat Pumps have not been good. Does anyone have an Amana unit and are you happy with it?

I'm buying an in-wall heat pump and was just told that Amana is louder (and less expensvie) and not as good an energy rating as the Frederick brand, which costs more & is quieter.

I'm now on the trail of a quality assessment for Frederick brand. The Angie's List article is very good re deciding between brands.
