This is Kyle K with Member Care. Thanks for posting your question.

Although we don't track going rates for various projects because this varies widely depending on market factors and location, members are encouraged to include how much a project cost in their reviews.

With that in mind, a good way to find out a general price range, login to your membership and search for Handymen, and then look as the project cost associated with each review. The best way to get the most accurate information is to request multiple bids from several local contractors. As the price will vary with work site considerations and individual contractors' approaches, getting multiple estimates will help provide a clearer idea of what to expect in terms of pricing.

I hope this information help! Please let me know if I can assist further. You can respond to this thread or submit a new Answers post. You can also reach us at We're happy to help!

Here is a similar question with answer that might help - more similar ones listed at links under that response, and yet more in the Home > Windows and Doors (or is it Doors and Windows) link in browse Projects at lower left.

Realize this above response was for a number of doors - you are likely to have about $100-150 minimum (more like $50-100 if Handyman) minimum charge if you have fewer doors.

Note also in the responses the difference in cost between "hanging a door" - i.e. putting in a new door in existing frame, and "installing a door" which commonly means entirely new door and frame and trim installation. In that case, of course, fit of the new frame in the rough opening, need for painting or staining, and whether trim can be/is to be reused or not also affects cost significantly.
