garage converted to room. groundwater seeping on floor between wall and slab. How to correct?

Garage converted to den with garage added in front of the den. Both structures built on a slope that allows rainwater to drain directly into side of both garage and den between the wall and slab floor. Can't replace flooring until we can stop the seepage between the wall and lower slab. We can't pour new slab inside the two structures as they are now due to expense and finishing. We dug beside the two to try channel the water but were not successful or it was not deep enough. Can this area be somehow sealed to stop incoming rainwater from inside or outside?
