how do I find someone to put on a garage sale for my stuff

I have a lot of stuff from dishes to motor cycle helmets, saws, drills, pictures, etc that I would like to put in a garage sale and I want to hire someone to put it on and organize it for me, for a percentage of the profits of course.

1) You could probably find an Organizer (or is it Personal Organizer) to do that. Search the List.

2) Auctioneer could do this also, and if done at his normal weekly auction might bring higher prices - people tend to bid up prices at auctions. IF large enough or good enough stuff, he would also do it as a yard auction if you want (like he would do an Estate sale), but unlikely to draw enough people at auction time to be worth doing it at your place.

3) Estate Sale agent could too, but same problem as #2 above.

If you truly want to be rid of the hassle, including the hassle of people coming to garage sale and wanting ot use bathroom, haggle for price, etc - then an auctioneer is the way to go. Typically 25-40% commission (lower for bigger and higher quality stuff) - they come get it, store at their facility till auction, auction it, cut you a check.
