how do I repair a cracked faux leather couch

We purchased a Durahide couch several years ago. The arm became brittle and cracked. Any suggestions on how to repair it?

From a quick scan on the web, you are far from the first person with this problem - seems Durahide is not quite as durable as the name implies.

You can recover it with the same product or a naugahyde or leather (or have a Furniture Restorer do it). Another alternative is to make heavy upholstery fabric slip covers for the arms, which you can then easily replace or wash as needed.
