If you have a current deadbolt and are just replacing it, probably minimum trip charge plus about $15-100 or so for the bolt depending on brand, and security rating - typically from low of $40 to high of $120 or so trip charge (labor) depending on whether you are in low cost part of country or big city - more if being done on an emergency rather than scheduled appointment basis.

For a new deadbolt where there is not one now, probably about another $25 or so in labor to drill the necessary holes and cut out for and install the striker plate - up to double that if high-security striker plate in wood doorframe, or you are doing initial installation in a steel door and frame.

If this is a setup with separate doorknob and security deadbolt and you want the same key to fit both, let him know this when you call. Also, if you want the same key to fit ALL exterior doors in the house as now, tell him the make of the current locks if you can (may be cast into the keys, but that may also be wrong if duplicate keys) so he can bring same brand to enable rekeying the lock the same as the others. Commonly imprinted on the visible plate either in the door or the doorjamb - a name like Schlage or Yale or whatever.
