Question DetailsAsked on 5/15/2012

how does a company that I used get listed on Angie's list. They did a great job with my landscaping and I feel they would benefit from AL

I used a landscaper that is not listed with you. I would like them to be.
How do I or they get on as a service provider?

Similarly I have used a general contractor who is not listed on the superb Angie's List. Would not consider any other contractor to do work for me and my household.
This man and his company are superb and have their work referred to them by word of mouth. It is not uncommon to have to wait for him to have an opening slot of a month or two because he is a perfectionist and demands the same of his crew.
Word of mouth is, I consider the best reference available to those of us who are looking, and unfortunately Angie's List doesn't always have everyone. So, look to you friends for references, watch a building or home being done, and peruse the contractor by viewing the work that has been accomplished. If you are watching a house or home being done, and like the outcome, knock at the door, and find out who did the work. Persons who are happy with the Results will be glad to share their information with you! In the past, I have had to wait three or four months for my general contractor to have time to schedule me, but I wouldn't have it any other way. Perfection is what we are all looking to acquire, and having the contractor available sometimes requires waiting.

Thank you both for the great questions!

If you're already Angie's List members, you can add a new company to Angie's List by first clicking on the "Write a Review" tab near the top of the screen. When that screen loads, in the upper right corner, you should see an "Add a provider" button

Even if you're not an Angie's List member, we'd love to hear your opinion on companies you've used. Consumers can write reviews on the companies they've used at www.angieslist.com/review/
