If it only needs to be cleaned "in place" , most would include it in the annual mauntenance available at $59 t0 $129 , depending on your area and time of the year.More if access to the coil is difficult.

If it has dirt deep in the coil, it will removed, this requires disconnecting the refrigerant lines, and reconnecting. Cost $400 to $650, again depending, could be more.

This issue could be avoided by using 4" thick pleated filters, available for install by a Pro, or other products, not 3M Filtrete, better filters are restrictive, and you need a Pro to advise, and in most cases install.

The cost to Pull and Clean the coil is usually more then the Pleated Filter. Plus dirty coils are causing increased operating costs every month, so better to get a 4" thick Pleated filter.
