how much does it cost to clean and inspect a chimney for oil burner( not gas or wood fireplace)

Depends a lot on part of the country, but generally around $100-150. Chimney Sweep is the category you want, but if you are having your annual furnace servicing done the servicing tech can also do it as part of the same trip, to save on service call charges. Be sure to tell him that when you call (and what size exhaust duct you have) because they do not always carry the brushes around with them in the truck.
