Here is an Angie's List article on tree removal:

Assuming readily accessible, this about 1-2 hours work, so about $150-250 by a tree service company to cut it up and either haul it away or, more likely, haul branches to the truck, chip it into the truck, and haul the chippings away.

If you live where it is a long way to the dump or there are high dump fees, maybe $50-75 for that in addition. Usually they dispose of by selling as mulch or playground padding, so no disposal charges.

If in a place where it cannot be felled without damaging other things or contacting power lines so it requires removal from top-down in-place; or if in a location where the branches will have to be hand-hauled to the truck (like in a fenced back yard), add about $50-100 depending on distance from where truck can get to tree.

If you do not want a flat stump sticking up about 3-6 inches, then about another $50-75 to have the stump ground down to below ground level. Assume you will topsoil where the stump was and seed, if desired - otherwise probably about $50-100 for a landscape or yard care company to do that.
