how much does it cost to remove a tree that was blown over by storm?

Depends on size of course, and if you want the roots ground down in the ground or not - but assuming normal household size trees (say not over about 50-60 feet and under 2 feet or so diameter at base), simple trimming and disposing of the small stuff, and bucking the larger (say 2" +) stuff to firewood length and stacking it nearby probably in the $150-250 range depending on tree size - add $75-100 range for grinding away remaining large roots in the ground. For total disposal off site can run $50-150 more typically depending on how usable the wood is for firewood and size of tree.
