A shower room is rare in a house, so I am having a little trouble visualizing this - I will assume about normal bathroom size as a full-sized walk-in shower with tile all around. Demo to bare studs should cost around $350-600 if drywall behind the tile, and easy access (not a walkup for instance). More if in city where distance to the dump is a fair distance and they charge a lot, unless you have dumpster access.

If mudded walls and floors (older tile, where a wire-reinforced concrete "scratch coat" lies under the thin-set grout that actually holds the tiles) then probably more like $700-1200.

Concrete backer board more than drywall but closer to that than mudded walls.

If by shower room you meant just a 3/4 bath (sink, toilet, and normal sized shower) and you are leaving the wall and ceiling covering (drywall) except in the shower, then probably more like $250-450.

Assuming this is not a build-i-yourself job, you will want a general contractor for this demo job and subsequent remodel, preferably one specializing in remodels - Search the List (in green banner bar) for local contractors and reviews,
