how much to excavate and pour an 800 sq ft walkout basement in Spokane wa

We want to build our own 800 sq ft ranch with walkout basement but need to hire out the entire foundation work but don't know what cost we're looking at to do this. Wouldn't one cement contractor be able to excavate and pour the basement?

Yes one foundation contractor should be able to do the excavation, foundation construction, and slab pour all in one contract.

Below are a couple of previous similar questions which might give you a ballpark cost - for your area I would expect bids in the range of $40-60/SF complete, including excavation and backfill for roughing in the utilities (but maybe or maybe not the utility install itself, depending on whether this is a concrete or gaeneral contractor doing the work for you) - and provided of course he does not encounter hard bedrock or such large erratic boulders that he needs to bring in a hydraulic breaker to handle them (not an uncommon thing in much of your area between the volcanics and the glacial remnants and the mass glacial outwash erratics).
