Question DetailsAsked on 6/23/2014

how long should I wait to get an appointment for work purchased & paid for through Angie's List Deals?

Painting one room $99, contacted in the beginning of June to schedule appointment, no response. Last week sent message with date in August, for work to be done, and now waiting confirmation.

At that price, pays for maybe q1hours labor max - so I hope you do not have high expectations for quality - or for more than one coat. This sounds like a serious loss leader, so expect them to try to upsell you one more rooms or special costs - like extra charges for trim being different finish, etc. Personally, I would not even think of dealing with a contractor who makes an offer like this unless it was an offer for an extra room for that price if you did at least 4 other rooms or something like that.
