LCD is right. You should have a contract issued for the additional work and the service provider can discuss what type(s) of payment they accept.

Write up a contract amendment or change order itemizing the additional work to be done, and the amount to be paid, and any payment terms (when and percentages, etc, if applicable. Payment goes to him directly if beyond the scope of an AL coupon or deal.
