Here are a couple of related previous questions with answers - the first would be my direct answer to you. I am presuming you mean a permanent pole (so wires regulation height off the ground - usually soemthing like 12' minimum for residences, 14 or 16' minimum if a delivery size truck can pass under it, minimum 6 or 8 feet above the roof (where going to weatherhead) and minimum 3 feet from roof or any part of house laterally. Varies by locale and by utility.

Note some of these responses address only the service drop and/or service entrance (the wires to the house and meter panel), not the pole itself, so pay attention to what each is referring to. (Assuming you meant power4 pole - if you mean the weatherhead/service drop pole on the house (typically 4x4 and about 10' above roof, mounted to the house, receiving the overhead service crop from the utility pole mounted transformer), then see the questions about that cost - WAYYYY less than a new power pole.
