Here are a couple of recent responses on the issue of selecting a tree removal contractor and cost -

Factor your case to relate to the estimate provided above - a full grown avocado would be equivalent to mature May tree or flowering tree - a really large tree like a msture oak or sycamore or hickory might cost twice as much, and of course remember you are talking two trees, which will probably increase cost estimate by 50-75% over 1 tree.

Obviously, the less work they do, the cheaper - just felling is the cheapest, followed by fell and buck (cut to carriable pieces - about 8 feet), fell and firewood cut and pile is more expensive, fell and dispose about same cost (unless good firewood), then most expensive is fell, dispose, and rake up twigs and leaves most expensive. Depends on how much you can do yourself.

Cost estimate I provided was for fell and remove but not detailed cleanup of stuff that can be mowed - fell only about half that, roughly.
