You had a partial blockage in your sewer pipe somewhere downflow from the basement drain where it came up - will start off bubbling and gurgling only during washing machine emptying and maybe tub emptying due to the higher flow rates and surge of volume down the drain, then when flushing and showering, eventually getting clogged more and more until it starts backing up through the lowest elevation drain or tub or shower when running washer, then if you let it go more eventually when flushing - your case.

You need it routed out. A simple wire snake run to punch a hole through it might get it flowing for now, but I would give about 50-50 odds it will start packing up again within not more than a couple of months if you do not get it routed out full diameter all the way to the street.

Need to use a full-diameter scraper or side-cutter which looks something like this -

one shown is a root cutter too - pure scraper does not have teeth do does not cut larger roots, but cleans the inside wall of the pipe better.

Should run it from inside the house, upflow from the floor drain - usually by removing the top floor toilet, then runs down through the pipes to the outdoors cleanout, then move and go down the cleanout all the way out to the street main sewer. Failure to chaseit allthe way to the street is just inviting reclogging further down the pipe as all the cleaned out material plugs up again.

Some plumbers have these larger and longer drain cleaning machines, but not most - I would be looking for a Sewer and Drain cleaning company. Should be run every 5-10 years in a house that put a lot of grease and food down the sink or garbage disposal, 10-15 years typically for those that do not, as often as every few years if you have root problems not controllable with Root-X or similar product.

I recommend finding one who will agree to bring the camera but not charge for it if not needed - then if he hits broken pipe or noticeable root blockage or a place that feels like it is offset, the camera can be run to see what the issue is.

Routing cost depends on local - can be as low as $150 range to $400 in some large cities where the unions control pricing, camera run from probably $100-200 more on same trip.
