Question DetailsAsked on 10/1/2020

i hear a relatively loud thumbing sound that occurs every 15 to 20 seconds above my office/den ceiling

A ceiling fan in the adjoining room stopped working at about the same time the thumping sound occurred

Is the thumping ongoing all the time, day and night and timed exactly ? Or is it inconsistant, happening for a period , then stopping? If your ceiling fan stopped working, its likely a coincidence. But make sure the power is off to the fan to make sure its not coming from the fan (a bad motor etc) ..is there any vent in the roof with a flap? A tree limb? I assume its a residential home and not an office building

can you give more details?
