if I purchase a deal for 50% off on a radiant barrier. Then schedule an appointment and they don't show up. Can I get my money back?

i purchased a deal for 50% off of a radiant barrier. I scheduled an appointment for today at 1:30pm. nobody showed up. can I get my money back ?

If they are a reputable contractor they will refund any monies you gave them as a downpayment, If they are not, and the amount is below what your state law allows the small claims court to handle, you almost certainly will win if you sue them for a refund. If they are a Better Business Bureau member the issue is mute, call the BBB's if they refuse to refund your deposit.

The lesson here is, if the product is not custom made(like drapes) do not give a deposit. If you didnt give them a deposit,, no court will rule they suffered any damage by you changing your mind.So call them and cancel the agreement in any case.

I have been a contractor for almost 40 years and any honest company may try to save a bad situation but when push comes to shove they will consider the deal void.
