The main reason to join is to find quality contractors that have been reviewed by members, so you know you can get a great job done.

Some likely offer discounts to members and some likely can arrange financing. That's what we see in our area.

Joining Angie's List can benefit you in a number of ways. First, for your roof repairs, can you afford to hire the wrong contractor? Reading up on reviews from homeowners like you on local companies can help ensure you don't hire a bad contractor and/or get a bad roofing job. Second, many companies on Angie's List offer exclusive discounts to Angie's List members, so you're saving money there, too. There are also Angie's LIst Big Deals, where companies offer specific services for up to 70% to 80% off.

As far as payment options, you'd have to pose that question to the individual roofing contractors you research. Many roofing companies do offer financing.

Generally speaking my profile of an Angies List customer is one who wants more and is willing to pay for more. Discounts? You know what you get with discounts in most cases? You may be able to find a company that offers monthly payments, and rather than asking for a discount this may be your best option.

Watch out for dicsounts in my most cases. Most unscrupulous contractors will add on a few percentage to give you a discount. You feel all warm and fuzzy, but they were trying to STEAL from you in the first place. I do offer discounts, in the form of drops. What I mean this this;

We accept credit card, but credit card companies charge a %, therefore if you want a discount, I offer 2% discount to pay by cash, check, money order, or Intuit direct deposit.

We usually bundle extended manufacturer warranties into all our roofing jobs. These warranties cost money. Want a discount, and the extended warranty gets removed.

Generally speaking we are usually 5-10% higher than the low bidder, but generally speaking we are also usually offering ALOT more, so be careful for the discount from some contractors.
