Check out the warranty for your unit, but commonly that would be one of the items included in the 1 year warranty - some manufacturers might include in 5 or 10 year warranty, but commonly that only includes compressor and maybe drive motor, condensor and fan motor, and evaporator. - not valves or capacitor.

Put the word - capacitor - into the Ask box and you will see links to several previous questions about replacement costs and possibly doing it yourself. [If DIY'ing it, be sure to read how to discharge the old one before putting new one in - and ditto to discharging new one before handling it, sometimes they come with a charge from testing where they forgot to discharge it after testing. Got hit once by a 20HP motor capacitor out of the box that way - arm tingled for a month.
