here are a couple of prior similar questions with replies that I think say all I could say here -

Personally, I don't buy the NewWindowMan comment about new siding eliminating - what was it - 4-5 paintings ? One or two maybe, but to maintain the siding appearance you have to have it cleaned periodically which is a cost unless you DIY, albeit less than painting, and a good paint job should last 8-10 years with occasional cleaning and normal siding lasts maybe 20-30, so that is only 2-3 paint jobs life. That does assume a long-life paint, not just a latex or acrylic latex.
