is there any way to fix cracked subway tile?

We rent and the subway tile on the bathroom walls are cracked. Is there anything we can do to make it less noticeable?

Short of replacing it, I presume you mean.

Quick and dirty way - fill the crack with superglue or model airplane glue for wood models, poking it into larger cracks with toothpick, being careful not to get all over the surface. For larger width cracks will take sdeveral passes, as you cannot put in a thick bead or it will run downhill on you. When dried, carefully scrape any excess off with single edged razor blade at flat angle, gently slicing like fileting a fish - careful not to scratch coating. Then color the crack with proper color felt tip marker or ballpoint pen, using well pressed on masking tape along edges to prevent marking on tile surface. Light pass at first, as you can always go darker but harder to lighten it. (If you go too dark, use razor blade to scrape away a bit and redo that spot). Remove any excess marker on tile with laquer thinner or fingernail polish remover (same thing) on a Q-tip, or on glossier tiles just remove with a pencil eraser - pink pearl type, NOT the abrasive - containing type.

Expensive way - get right color repair grout - made by ColorRite, ExactColor, ColorFlex and others in hundreds of shades, available at professional tile distributors normally.
