If it sounds too good to be true, probably a scam or phishing operation - especially if they pay you up front. That is a typical trick of sites trying to get your checking account information (you deposit their check and they then pull the account info off the check image after it is deposited in their account). Some banks now suppress this info but most with automated check processing automatically imprint it on the deposited checks.

Here are some previous responses to questions about work at home "opportunities", including some links to government warnings about such companies - the chances of finding an honest, legit work-at-home opportunity off an advertisement (as opposed to marketing a skill you already have) is pretty minimal.
