Question DetailsAsked on 2/15/2012

knee replacement surgery-new method is practiced by Dr. Robt, Vann somewhere in FL. Can you determine where. Quicker recov. less muscle cut

The TV had a special broadcast on news. Channel 07 (Tampa - or Sarasota)2/9/12-the technique is an implant that seems to include a frontal piece that bends (like a kneecap) and 2 side pieces that are like "tabs". It is measured for in an MRI. and cut to fit you alone..I am assuming the 2 bones you have in the leg --upper and lower--still need leveling off. Recovery seems to be more like 3 weeks... not like 3 months of slow agonizing pain. The item is only being used by about 12 drs. in the US.
The news article did not spell out the NAME of the product.. It sounded like either"SHAPEMAX" or "Shavemax". The middle aged woman (slim) who had it done was named Joyce Horowitz.
