It is very hard to accurately locate a water leak under a slab floor. I know that I have missed the spot a couple of times. That is why I take a little more time and triple check now. That is why I garrentee my work, and carry insurance for times when I do make a mistake. I would recommend that you contact the leak company and maybe meet with them and the plumber and try to be resonable (and rational, because leak finding is not an exact science) and see if they will help with some of the repair cost.
