I would need a bit more information to be completely accurate. Is there ice present at the bottom of the freezer? From your question I would be looking for the drain located in the bottom/back of the freezer section to be blocked with ice and or other debris. This causes the water generated during normal defrost cycles to come out the bottom of the freezer door. If this is not the case I would need more details to help you further.

A usual culprit, in addition to the above answer of overstuffing the freezer and / or a blockage, is that the compressor is about to fail. This may take several months, or overnight. Call local repair service and inquire about your make/model/year frig for a compressor replacement. Call manufacturer. Also, the frig needs space to breathe, so to speak. 2" clearance from the back coils to the wall, and underneath as well. These areas must be kept dust and lint free, hence the refrigerator coil brush, just for this purpose.

Water has a cumulative damage component, that left unchecked, could warp/ruin subfloor.Colette

There are lots of things that can be cause of leaking the freezer, like drain clogging, temperature adjustment, defrozement etc.. If your refrigerator model has self defrozing system, then leaking is not an issue , but if you have to defroze your refrigerator by manual then it might be cause of leaking your freezer. Please take an advice of an expert and you can buy major appliances from Appliances Connection.
