need reapir of over stove fan

fan above stove is not pulling steam from cooking and all the grease has accumulated in fan needs to be repaired

Have you pulled the grease screens and cleaned them ? That should be done every 3-6 months typically - that might be all that is needed.

If that has never been done, so the entire fan unit is greased up, then here is a link on that subject FYI - though if the exhausst ducting is also fully greased up for fire safety that should also be cleaned (if accessibel) or replaced - probably another $150-300 in most cases.
