Out of warranty coil prices vary greatly by the brand. That is a great price, but may not be a good decision.

If the other coil, indoor or outdoor,or the compressor fails in a few years, that cost added to the $2200, could easily be over 50% of a new system.

A new system today, properly registered would/could have a ten year parts warranty!

you would be "rolling the dice" by spending that much today. We find that very few consumers go that route, after considering the risk.
