Hello David,

This is Sarah B. in Member Care. I'm happy to help!

I was able to find several rated providers to help with your project. For your current need though, our Concierge specialists would also be able to do all of the dialing for you, match you up with a well-rated company and arrange to have them call you to figure out the logistics. If this sounds like something you would be interested in, please fill out the form in the link below. A Concierge specialist will then be in touch within one business day to match you with a top rated provider.

If you would like to reach out to these providers yourself, please let me know. I’d be happy to send these to you. No matter which option you choose, I hope you’ll take the time to fill out a review when the work is done.

If you would like information on additional providers through this forum, please let us know. You can respond to this thread or submit a new Answers post. You can also reach us at memberservices@angieslist.com. We're happy to help, David!

When the AL concierge service calls, be sure to specify if you are looking for personal meals delivered, or catering for an event or large dinner party. And if this will be a one-time thing or intermittent.

If what you are looking for is individual meals delivered to you but not the usual fast food places, google your town name combined with the searchphrase - food delivery service - many areas now have drivers or even actual full-blown companies that work with a number of restaurants to do delivery of take-out food. More restaurants are also providing delivery service - google a search phrase like this, substituting your desired food type and town of course - home food delivery mytown -

Also, if you have a favorite place you frequent commonly, especially if ordering for a number of people, many restaurants without formal delivery or carryout service will do delivery on an occasional basis for dinner parties and such - usually requiring a day's or more advance notice of exact menu desired. Ditto for some grocery stores, especially locally owned ones, that have grocery delivery service and will also deliver specified items from their deli / prepared food area at the same time.

Some people, especially if aged or disabled, can also arrange with their local restaurant or grocery/deli who does NOT deliver to pay by your credit card on file, they collect together the items and then call a cab to deliver it to you, you paying the cab when it arrives but food is already prepaid on your credit card. Be sure to ask them to note the cab number on their paperwork in case it never gets to you, and of course the receipt with the food should not have your credit card number on it.

And of course if this is for individual meals for elderly or disabled person, Meals on Wheels and similar delivery programs is available.
