For a 16 x 7 rollup door with opener, about $700-1500 for steel, $1200-3000 door cost for wood depending on fanciness, decorative panels, insulation factor, windows, custom sizing, etc.

Installation about $500 for one that is bought to fit your exact dimensions and using existing opener, more like $1000 for a "typical" installation requiring a bit of fitting to the opening and installing an opener, to $1500 or 2000 for a difficult installation, like one where the opener has to be recessed in the ceiling part way for clearance, where the existing tracks or opener have been encapsulated in the ceiling with drywall and have to be dug out then the drywall repaired; where the doorframe needs significant adjustment or resizing, or where the concrete entry sill has to be cut down or built up or levelled for the door to seal right.

"Typical cost" for run of the mill about $1500-2000 installed.

It really dose depend on where you live and the cost of living inflation in that area. But do your research, many companies charge quite a lot for a door so call several and of course check Angies List.

If you are in the Austin, Tx. area you have several choices of companies to coose from and a variation in pricing as well so it pays to do your shopping.

AMS Garage Doors provides a standard 16 x 7, 25 Gauge door, full body 14 gauge hinges, Single 15,000 cycle Torsion spring with nylon capped 13 ball rollers for $570.00 Installed including Tax and Labor and removal of the old door.
