Question DetailsAsked on 11/12/2016

pungent almost organic smell coming from the corner of gnd flr bedroom.

What can we do to get rid of it? It has come and gone for a year now, it is worse when it is hot. It is hard to get under the house in that area. It is my 5 year old sons bedroom so I am worried. Is there anyone that you can even call out to investigate?

Below are links to a bunch of previous similar questions with answers which might help - and with a 5 year old I would also be considering urinating or dumping liquids or "watering the garden" on his part. The first one also has a lot of other links to similar questions -

For a professional, since it sounds like you have a crawlspace under there, while more expensive for the investigative stage getting a plumber to locate the source would mean you have the man there to also fix it if from leaking pipes.

Other alternative would be a mold detection/remediation contractor - or a handyman to detect it and fix if an easy fix, though in a tight quarters area like that I don't know I would trust a handyman if it is a sewer pipe leak.
