This sort of thing can be fairly easy or pretty tough - of course easier if opening up the kitchen anyway as part of a remodel. And obviously easier if using a dropped-ceiling for trougher flourescent lights and such so you have a dropped ceiling to hide the ducts in.

If the kitchen job is a DIY then Heating and A/C contractors are who you want to Search the List for to find a couple of well rated ones to bid the change for you. Obviously cheaper if you do the opening up of the walls/ceilings where they want before they come to do the work.

If you are having a Remodeling - General Contractor do the remodel, then he can include it in his bid and get an HVAC subcontractor for the work.

If an architect is doing your remodel plans, then he/she should include the relocation on those plans and specs.
