For a vendor with a regular relationship like that, I would tip annually or maybe semi-annually.

In my opinion, a professional pet sitter should not expect any tip. However, it's always nice, especially during the holidays, to know that your clients appreciate the fact that instead of having a weekend off or sharing the holidays with your friends and/or family, you are taking good care of their pets.
