Some veterinary practices offer that service, though because sometimes it requires sedation (especially with cats) most probably require that you bring the animal to them. Also, because of labor costs and travel time and unavailability in the clinic while they are gone, I would suspect the vast majority of them require an office visit.

If unable to get the cat there, put it in a carrier and get a cab - or some vet practices might (especially if you are disabled and unable to get it there) have a tech come out and pick it up in the AM and return it in the PM, for instance. Extra cost for that service, of course.

If they will not do that, check with pet sitters - I suspect that if you prearrange it with the vet clinic and sitter regarding time, you could probably fairly easily find one to take a cat in a carrier to the vet and wait to bring it back.
