we need a new micro wave oven installed above the stove

Here is a prior response to someone wanting to do that - with modification of the space because of upsizing -

In your case, if you can get one that fits the same rough opening, then normally an installer from the store you buy it from (if from Sears or appliance store or such that does installs) will put it in at no extra charge over what they normally change for new appliance install and hauling the old one away. This assumes a corded installation (outlet there, not hard-wired) and using slide-in mounting brackets, which most microvent units do now.

Appliance Repair technicians also sometimes do this, if a unit you bought yourself - again, if a corded type that does not require hardwiring into the house wiring, which technically requires an electrician.

If adjustments to cabinets or venting are needed, then while a Handyman might (or might not) be able to do it well, a small Remodeling - Kitchen and Bath contractor would still be your normal best choice.
