what is angies' policy re Contractor members that don't show, don't return call for scheduled work?

I scheduled work with Falletta Masonry (Anthony) to power wash & re-sand front & patio pavers for 4/23/16 weather permitting. Spoke to Anthony Falletta on 4/23 & due to rain rescheduled for 4/24/16 @ 9 a.m. Its is now 10:17 a.m. & no show, no courtesy call. I have tried calling him 3 times & no answer. left messages & no return call. I hav removed all patio furniture (not easy) & now have to move all off lawn (live in a community) back onto patio. Deposit given to secure work. Please advise policy/procedure re Contractors listed with Angies List. Thank you. Evelyn .

Obviously they should show as scheduled or contact you if delayed.

If a no-show you can call the vendor to cancel if you want (and demand deposit back), then contact Angies List member services within 30 days of Deal purchase for a refund.

If not a Deal (and since you said deposit paid rather than Deal paid for this is likely the case), just someone you contacted after finding on AL - sounds like you need to call him to cancel and get your deposit back if you want, then do an appropriate Review on AL.

We're so sorry to hear about the trouble you've had with your Big Deal. Deals can be refunded as long as no work has been started and the purchase is within the 30 day refund period. We’re happy to help reach out on your behalf/ provide alternative contact information as well.
If you run into any problems after the project's begun, we can work with you and the business to resolve the issue. Keep in mind that companies must be well rated on the List to participate in the Deal program. They know members are likely to report on them once work is done.
