what is an apprximate charge to install safety cables on an existing garage door opener

I have a garage door opener that has no safety cables running through the springs. How mch should it cost just to install safety cables?

Depends somewhat of course on your make and model, but if exposed springs (as opposed to shrouded in metal covering, in which case safety cables are probably superfluous) then probably about $30-50 parts plus generally minimum service call charge of probably $75-125 range - possibly a bit more in a few very high cost big city areas.
